Complete your kit

The gear most detectorists buy in their first month. Tick any and it goes in the cart together.

A 19 kHz gold and relic detector with 100 sensitivity steps rather than the handful of presets most machines give you, and a 1โ€“100 target ID that becomes a map of your own ground over a few sessions. Telescoping shaft, single 9V battery, 3.9 kg.

Product Highlights

  • 19 kHz frequency, tuned for gold and small targets
  • 100 levels of sensitivity โ€” not three or four presets
  • LCD screen with Target ID from 1 to 100
  • Telescoping shaft, 106 to 125 cm
  • Runs on a single 9V battery

Best for: Gold prospecting ยท Relics ยท Intermediate

100 Levels of Sensitivity, and Why That Matters

Most detectors give you a handful of sensitivity presets. This one gives you a hundred steps.

In mineralised ground that is the difference between a machine you can use and a machine you fight. The point where a detector goes from screaming to stable is usually two or three fine adjustments, not a whole mode change โ€” and every step you can hold onto is depth you keep. Wind it up on clean ground, ease it back when the soil turns hot, and keep hunting either way.

Target ID 1 to 100: Read Before You Dig

The LCD reports a target number on a 1 to 100 scale. On its own that is just data; over a few sessions it becomes a map of your own ground.

Experienced detectorists get faster not by digging everything, but by learning what each number turns out to be in the soil they hunt. A numeric ID makes that learning possible in a way a needle or a simple tone never can.

A Shaft That Adjusts to You

The telescoping shaft runs from 106 to 125 cm. That sounds minor until you have spent six hours stooped over a detector built for someone taller โ€” posture is what decides whether you stay out for the afternoon or pack up early.
