Everything built to get wet

The productive ground on a beach is the wet ground: waves sort heavy items and drop them between the tide lines. All-in-one packages are built around a waterproof detector and add a waterproof pinpointer, a stainless sand scoop and a finds pouch, so every piece can follow the target into wet sand and shallow water.

Why the scoop matters

Digging wet sand by hand is slow, and the hole keeps collapsing. A scoop lifts the target and sifts the sand in one motion, which can mean several times more recoveries an hour. Our beach detecting tips explain where finds collect and when to go.

Not just for the beach

A waterproof detector works just as well in parks, fields and the rain. For land hunting, add a digging tool. Before your first trip, check the beach rules in our US metal detecting laws guide. Want only the detector? See our waterproof detectors, or browse every kit in packages and bundles.

Questions we get asked

Is an all-in-one kit good for beginners?

Yes, especially if you live near the coast. You'll learn on easy dry sand and move to wet sand as your skills grow.

Can I take an all-in-one kit into the water?

Check each item's waterproof rating before you wade. A fully submersible detector and waterproof pinpointer can go into shallow water, but headphones usually can't unless they're rated waterproof.

How do I look after beach detecting gear?

Rinse the detector, coil, pinpointer and scoop in fresh water after every salt-water trip and let everything dry fully. Salt left in seams and connectors is what usually ruins beach gear.
