Depth Where VLF Machines Start to Struggle

Pulse induction works differently from a standard VLF detector. Instead of transmitting and receiving continuously, it fires short pulses and listens to the decay between them — which means ground mineralisation, hot rocks and black sand have far less effect on it.

That is the whole reason PI machines dominate serious gold country. Where a VLF detector becomes unstable and you find yourself winding sensitivity down until the advantage is gone, a pulse machine simply keeps running.

What Pulse Induction Gives You, and What It Asks

PI buys you stability and depth in the hardest ground there is. In exchange it offers less target discrimination than a VLF, so you recover more trash on your way to the good targets.

On mineralised ground that is a trade experienced prospectors make gladly. On mild, clean soil, a good VLF may serve you better. If you would like a second opinion before ordering, call and describe your ground — soil colour, whether there is black sand, and how your current machine behaves.

Bluetooth Audio for Working Terrain

Wireless audio matters more in prospecting than in park hunting. You are climbing over rock, working washes and pushing through scrub, and a headphone cable is one more thing to catch. Bluetooth removes it.
