19.23 kHz: This One Is Actually Built for Gold

Most detectors sold as "gold detectors" run at 5 to 8 kHz, which is a coins-and-silver frequency. This one runs at 19.23 kHz, and that changes what it hears.

Natural gold is small and low in conductivity — the hardest combination for a detector to pick up. High frequencies are far more sensitive to exactly that kind of target. At 19.23 kHz this sits properly in gold-machine territory, along with small jewellery, thin chain and fine relic material that a low-frequency detector sweeps straight over.

A 6.5-Inch Coil Is a Precision Instrument

Small coils are not a compromise. They are a different tool.

A large coil covers ground fast and reaches deeper on big targets, but it struggles where signals sit close together.
