Complete your kit

The gear most detectorists buy in their first month. Tick any and it goes in the cart together.

A 19 kHz three-purpose machine supplied with both an 11-inch and a 5-inch coil, so you can cover open ground and still work trashy sites without buying a second coil in your first year. Manual ground balance handles mineralised soil, and the backlit display stays readable at dawn and dusk โ€” which is when the best hunting usually happens.

Product Highlights

  • 19 kHz operating frequency โ€” high enough for small gold, stable enough for coins and relics
  • Two search coils included: 11 inch for coverage, 5 inch for trashy and tight ground
  • All Metal and Discriminate search modes
  • Manual Ground Balance and Discrimination for mineralised soil
  • Backlit display for dawn, dusk and overcast days
  • Two headphone jacks โ€” 1/4" and 1/8"
  • Runs on two 9V batteries, no proprietary pack

Best for: Gold ยท Coins ยท Relics ยท Intermediate to advanced

One Frequency, Three Kinds of Hunt

Frequency choice is the compromise at the heart of every detector. Go low and you see deep on large, high-conductivity targets like silver. Go high and you become sensitive to small, low-conductivity targets like gold. At 19 kHz this detector sits deliberately toward the high end โ€” sensitive enough to hear fine gold, while still reading coins and relics cleanly.

That makes it a genuine three-purpose machine rather than a specialist you can only use on one kind of ground.

Two Coils in the Box, Not Sold Separately

Most detectorists end up buying a second coil within their first year. Here you start with both.

The 11-inch coil is your default: it sweeps a wider path, covers open ground faster and reaches deeper on larger targets. The 5-inch coil goes on when the ground gets difficult โ€” hunted-out parks full of iron, rocky edges, tree lines and anywhere targets sit close together. Smaller coils separate adjacent signals far better, which is how you find the good target sitting beside a nail.

Ground Balance for Soil That Fights Back

Mineralised ground produces its own signal, and a detector that cannot account for it spends the day chattering. Manual Ground Balance lets you tune that out and re-tune as conditions change across a site. Combined with adjustable Discrimination and All Metal mode, you can run wide open where the ground is clean and tighten up where it is not.

Built for Long Days and Low Light

The backlit display stays readable at first light and last light, which is when the best hunting usually happens. Both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone jacks are fitted, so whichever headphones you already own will plug straight in without an adapter.
