Why Drop-Leg Rather Than a Belt Pouch

A belt pouch swings forward every time you crouch, presses into you while you dig, and ends up being taken off and left on the ground.

A drop-leg pouch is strapped to the thigh. It stays where you put it, keeps its opening facing upward, and puts the pinpointer within reach of the hand that is already down at ground level. Small ergonomic difference, noticeable across a four-hour hunt.
